Our doctors are under attack from drug companies selling drugs using doctored data that promotes their products. We can be informed and help our doctors fight back. An organization has started sending out representatives to give doctors unbiased research. You can find and print drug summaries for your doctor here:
As consumers, we all want information on how safe our hospitals are.

A group called Leapfrog gathers and reports information on hospital quality and patient safety efforts to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive hospital care.

As consumers, we'd also like to know if the health services we receive are comparable to what others around the country are receiving for the same illness. Dartmouth has done a wonderful job of showing how widely health care varies from area to area. (For example, only six percent of Mainers spent more than a week in the ICU before they die.)
