Summary for first time readers: In the past few months I have been attacked
by a group of atheists who evidently consider themselves quackbusters as well. They all run copycat blog sites linked
to Pharyngula, a science blog site run by PZ Myers. Myers himself has a sense of humor and is intelligent, but his followers
are not scientists and did not consider his request to attack me as simply an attempt to humiliate me online. I
have maintained primarily a monologue with them to "humanize" myself to the more violent fringe element
that have accused me of having "blood on my hands." Evidently Myers was unaware of the effect of his attack, and officially
requested followers not engage in violence. What follows below are meant for their eyes, and takes a much more adversarial
tone that what I have anywhere else on the site.
The story this far (2/21/10): Michael Hawkins of Augusta ran a blog attacking
me for a few months. In the process he began arguing with his webhost, got himself suspended, then argued with them
again and got kicked off. Rather than engage in some reflection, he ran to a national blogger, PZ Myers, who has a large
following. PZ Myers printed that I was not only a quack, but I was responsible for censorship. So I have been
dealing with an enormous increase in "popularity." The popularity has dropped off once Myers checked with Hawkins
again and found I wasn't responsible for the censorship, but I'm still getting a fair trickle. I really can't do justice
to the level of discourse I have received but a very crude comedian, Russell Brand, can give less sensitive patients an idea
of what the last few days have been like. Warning: lots of profanity and sexual references, but that's fairly accurate
to what's been happening.

Michael Hawkins' blog was offline for all of four days, including a weekend
that involved a general wordpress failure of many sites. At this point it is clear the entire skeptic charade
was a lot of screaming about nothing but standard software error. I don't expect an apology anytime soon.

I have been thankfully ignored for the most part recently. Since the attacks, I have
begun defending myself on PZ Myers' endless thread and on Dr.Novella's blog. For the most part, the responses are foul-mouthed
shouting without substance on Myers' site and more polite dismissal from Novella.

It is official. I have been "moderated" out of the Pharyngula endless
thread. PZ Myers claims that he allows a variety of opinions, but he evidently has a very narrow definition that involves
people who share his opinion. It would be funny if he didn't honestly believe that he tolerates a wide range of opinion.
Myers could have put me in the "dungeon" and charged me with being boring, but all I was doing was replying to his other readers'
comments. I have written to him without reply, another standard technique. I know he reads the email because he
posted one of my letters on his blog.

The ever stalking Michael Hawkins must have had no party to go to on Cinco De
Mayo, which is very sad for a senior English major. So he spent his time attacking me on his parrot blog. I challenged
him to meet me in person, but I suspect he'll have too busy a "social schedule" to do that. PZ Myers allowed me back
on his blog briefly, but I only commented when he attacked the poisoned Gary Null. Shame is not a word Myers would even
bother to look up.
