Emerson Ecologics is great because:
  • they provide standard next day service ($7-9 for shipping, call by 6 pm)
  • they supply independently tested products
  • I get good reviews from patients
  • In seven years, they have lost one shipment.

If you would like to order from Emerson, click on the link below:

Online listing of common orders for ease in finding products (access code:  Colin).

The following wholesale sites can be used to find the same products that Emerson provides at much less cost.  I would not use them for initial purchases because we are seeing more and more overseas product manufacture and processing.

Puritan’s Pride has incredibly low prices for a few of its brands and I have patients that really like the brand. I would check for basic extracts of things like garlic, cranberry or other herbs and plan to take a good quantity to ensure an effect. Searching through the website, I found:

Zyflamend for pain relief cheaper than anything else advertised.

Vitamin D at extremely low prices for aiding in Seasonal Affective Disorder.

Magnesium Oxide for constipation relief.

Recently I tried two test runs on Iherb to check on the reliability of its shipping. The first order arrived four days later with only half of the product I had ordered. The second order came a week after I ordered it with three of five items. Three weeks later, I had received the rest of the second order and only half of the initial order. A month later I finally had two complete orders. I continue to list Iherb as a cheaper alternative, but I would not recommend ordering anything last minute. For patients, Iherb is a good source of the Eclectic brand and I have also ordered Jarrow (for quality) and Doctor's Best (for price) brands.

If you would like to order from Iherb, use the code TOP564 to get five dollars off your first order and click on the link below:

If you are looking for advice about healthcare choices, it makes sense to spend a little money getting a complete picture.  If you are local, come see me, but if you find yourself across the country, try medifocus. Get the complete conventional picture of a variety of illnesses with lists of specialists and the areas of specialty. Save yourself hours on the internet by having the conventional overview mailed to you.
Medifocus.com,Inc.

If you need a variety of home healthcare supplies, save a few dollars by buying all your drugstore needs in bulk at AmericaRX (I estimated savings of about about five dollars on packs of six or more based on the lowest local prices):

Click here for Miralax Laxative powder and more at AmericaRx.com

Mothernature.com is very much an online healthfood store, providing patients who live far away from an existing health food store a range of similar items so supplements, cleaning supplies and packaged food can be purchased at the same time.
Shop for all-natural products at MotherNature.com

Botanicchoice.com is a source for herbs, whether in tea, in capsule or as a tincture. I have no information on quality, so I would begin with a known source like Emerson and then experiment with the Botanic choice brand to see if you continue to experience relief. They do have kava, although I only use the Eclectic brand Kava Nakamal.

You can trust BotanicChoice.com - their products are doctor recommended and always carry an unconditional 100% money-back guarantee.

Swansons often has sales on brand name supplements that are below wholesale cost. I would use them for that purpose.

HouseofNutrition.com is a huge Iherb competitor. I found 200mg 5HTP here when it wasn't available on Iherb's site. If you are a fan of NOW, they have a wide selection. They also have a range of kava products.
