This is my favorite site. Medline contains a huge range of peer reviewed
article abstracts, summarizing the findings of different studies. Instead of reading the opinions about the studies,
I read the studies themselves.
Medline with an easier format. Good summaries of different illnesses
from the Mayo Clinic.
I believe no claims I read on google, but I do use it to find the latest
buzz on a particular product. Then I look for studies on medline that might support the claims. I also look for
support groups or other information pages, by state and area. Google tends to be about a month behind, but several months
ahead of the other big search engines.
A good site for students of homeopathic medicine and for me when
I don't have my books with me. Classic texts available online.
A pharmacy site? Yes, because they have healthnotes online. Healthnotes
is a compilation of Naturopathic opinion on an amazing array of health matters. Evidence based medicine at its best,
although at times several years out of date.
Flashy, but with a lot of substance. I love getting emailed my
specific health interests.
Home site for all licensed Naturopathic Doctors. Listing requires being
a member of the AANP.
Naturopathic Medical Network, which has a roundtable discussion that
I participate in. Corny, and often with ads for drugs, but an active site with some interesting discussions.
We now have an official www.mand.org, so I have stopped updating this site.
The official site for Maine's acupuncturists. My current pick for
best acupuncturist is Charlebois.
The official website for Maine Homeopaths. Varied levels of education
and expertise are represented, and I would talk to the homeopath in detail about what to expect before selecting one.
The National Institute of Health explanation and discussion of homeopathy.
Not all good, not all bad, basically: "we think it might work, but we don't understand it."
Please let me know if any of these links are no longer up
to date. I have listed reciprical links below.
